ICALP 2001 Satellite Workshop on

Algorithmic MeThods and Models for Optimization of RailwayS

ATMOS 2001

13 July 2001, Crete, Greece

Information for preparing the final version

The proceedings of the workshop will be published in a single volume collecting the contributions to all satellite workshops of ICALP 2001. The volume will be published in the Electronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science series of Elsevier and a printed version will be distributed to all participants of the workshop.

The final version of each accepted paper in ATMOS 2001 must be prepared in LaTeX2e using the ENTCS style files. To achieve this, you have to follow the next three steps:

  1. Download the generic ENTCS package, which contains files common for all volumes in ENTCS. These include several examples, as well as instructions on how to use the LaTeX styles files, and how to produce both the PostScript and the pdf files, which is the required format for the final versions of papers that are printed on line. The package also contains a generic form of the file entcsmacro.sty.

  2. Obtain the entcsmacro.sty file that pertains to the particular volume of ATMOS 2001.

  3. Replace the generic entcsmacro.sty file obtained in Step 1 by the entcsmacro.sty file obtained in Step 2 that is speficially prepared for ATMOS 2001.
Your final version must not exceed 15 pages. If more pages are needed, then you should contact the Program Chair at  zaro@ceid.upatras.gr

All files of the final version (i.e., LaTeX2e, DVI, PS, PDF files of the paper as well as postscript files for the figures) must be sent via electronic mail by May 15, 2001. To send via e-mail the final version of the paper, you are kindly requested to follow the enclosed instructions.

IMPORTANT: Final versions that arrive late or that deviate from the ENTCS guidelines cannot be guaranteed to be included in the proceedings.

Submitting the final version via e-mail

Your paper has been assigned a number n which has been provided to you along with the acceptance letter. Let, for the purpose of an example, n=7. Then do the following:

  1. Store all files concerning the final version of the paper (i.e., LaTeX2e, DVI, PS, PDF files of the paper as well as postscript files for the figures) in a directory named PAPn, i.e., in our example PAP7.
  2. Move to the parent directory of PAP7.
  3. Create a (g)zipped tar file with name PAP7.tar.gz.

    For example, under a Unix (or Linux) systtem, the following sequence of commands (where $ is your prompt) does the job :

    $ tar cvf PAP7.tar ./PAP7
    $ gzip PAP7.tar
  4. Finally, send by electronic mail the file PAP7.tar.gz as an attachment, by specifying "Paper No. 7 for ATMOS 2001" in the subject field, to the address atmos2001@ceid.upatras.gr .
