Content:
General introduction in mobile communications, description of basic characteristics of mobile channel, small and large range phenomenon, channel categories, basic constraints, digital modulation and transmission technics adapted to special characteristics of mobile channel, source coding advanced techics, voice coding technics on mobile telephony systems, channel coding and balancing, "smart" antenna, spread spectrum, basics terms, TDMA, FDMA, CDMA, mobility management, static and dynamic management of channels, capacity and microcells, handsoffs algorithms, GSM, 2.5G and 3G systems, mobile network access protocols (Aloha, CSMA, reservation protocols, PRMA, polling), transmission radiopacket protocols and ad hoc networks (architecures, protocols, routing algorithms, determination power transmission algorithms).
