Τίτλος: Algorithmic Issues on Human Computation
Περίληψη: In the last years we have observed the emergence of a variety of systems in which humans and machines both take part in the computation. Success stories include games with a purpose, crowdsourcing services, online labor marketplaces, to name a few. This new paradigm, requires the development of new models and algorithms to capture both the machine and the human elements, and the interactions between them. In this talk I will start with a high-level presentation of some of these systems, and some models and algorithms that allow to capture and use the human input.
Σχετικά με τον ομιλητή: Aris Anagnostopoulos is an Associate Professor at Sapienza University of Rome. He graduated from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department of Univesity of Patras, he obtained his Ph.D. from Brown University, and afterwards he did a postdoc at Yahoo! Research in Sillicon Valley. His main research interests include randomized and approximation algorithms as well as on the application of machine-learnign techniques on data-science problems.
