The distinguished computer scientist Kurt Mehlhorn, Director of the Max Planck Institute for Informatics and Professor of Computer Science at Saarland University, was awarded the degree of Doctor honours causa (Honorary Doctorate) by the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics, School of Engineering, University of Patras. The honorary doctorate award ceremony took place on Wednesday 8 November 2017, 12:00, in the University's Ceremonial Hall "Odysseas Elitis" (Administration Building).
