World’s FIRST 10K Best Paper Award – Platinum Award in IEEE ICME 2017

The paper

«Efficient Graph-based Matrix Completion on Incomplete Animated Models»  by E. Vlachos, A. Lalos, K. Moustakas and K. Berberidis,

has been selected for the "World’s FIRST 10K Best Paper Award – Platinum Award". The award will be presented in the 2017 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (IEEE ICME) that will be held in Hong Kong, in July 10-14, 2017.  The IEEE ICME is the flagship conference of the IEEE in the area of Multimedia.  It is a very prestigious conference in which only 15% of the submitted papers are accepted for oral presentation. 

 It is noted that the first two authors of the awarded paper are former PhD students and Postdoctoral researchers of the Signal Processing and Communications Lab of CEID.  The research work was conducted within the frame of a research project coordinated by Associate Professor K. Moustakas (ECE Dept., VVR Group).
