Torch Ignite is a hands on, beginner friendly PyTorch workshop designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of deep learning in a practical, applied format. Over the session you will learn core concepts and immediately apply them in code, from tensor operations and automatic differentiation to writing training loops and building your first neural network.
- Confidently create and manipulate PyTorch tensors (shapes, indexing, broadcasting).
- Understand automatic differentiation and how gradients are computed.
- Implement a basic training loop and use common optimizers and loss functions.
- Define, train, and evaluate a simple neural network using nn.Module.
- Gain practical familiarity working in Google Colab and GPU acceleration.
Requirements:
- Bring a laptop and a Google account for Colab.
- Materials and Colab notebooks will be provided.
