Procedures for first-year students and information to keep in mind for a smooth start and progression of the 2020-21 academic year. Procedures marked with * are mandatory.

Θα ανακοινωθεί η διαδικασία για το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2020-21. 

Η διαδικασία που περιγράφεται παρακάτω είναι ενδεικτική, με βάση την εμπειρία προηγούμενων ακαδημαϊκών ετών και ενδεχομένως να τροποποιηθεί λόγω των ειδικών συνθηκών.

Τι χρειάζεται: scanned σε μορφή pdf τα παρακάτω

  1. Φωτοτυπία Αστυνομικής Ταυτότητας (δυο όψεων)
  2. Πιστοποιητικό γέννησης
  3. Έντυπο στο οποίο να αναγράφεται ο Αριθμός Μητρώου Κοινωνικής Ασφάλισης – ΑΜΚΑ (μπορεί να αναζητηθεί άμεσα στην ηλεκτρονική διεύθυνση https://www.amka.gr/AMKAGR/)
  4. Μία (1) φωτογραφία τύπου ταυτότητας
  5. Βεβαίωση Διαγραφής μόνο στην περίπτωση που έχουν εγγραφεί από προηγούμενο έτος σε Σχολή ή Τμήμα της Τριτοβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης,

Identification – Receiving Codes*

The Secretariat will cross-check the information you entered during your online registration in Digital Jump, will issue registration confirmations and access codes to the Electronic Secretariat (progress) and will inform new incoming students about the process of receiving them.

email@upnet and Registration Number (MR)

You will receive an email account of the format upXXXXXXX@upnet.gr, where XXXXXXXXX will be your 7-digit Registration Number (AM) – through which you will compulsorily communicate with services of the University of Patras.

Username and password to access the Electronic Secretariat (progress)

The initial part of this email – i.e. upXXXXXXX – will be your username (username) for access to the Electronic Secretariat (progress) combined with a password (password) that will be granted to you as part of this process.

Important services that you will have access to with these codes and which are described in the following sections are:

University email (upnet)
Electronic secretariat (progress for declaring courses, etc.)
Course platform (eclass)
Online Virtual Classroom Platforms (s4b, MS Teams, etc.)
Exams platform
Declaration of authorship (eudoxus)

Date: expected to be announced by the Secretariat on the Department’s website.

Identification – Receive codes for CEID* services

After cross-checking the information you entered during your online registration in Digital Jump, you will receive from the Department a username and password for your @ceid account.

These codes are important for accessing online services provided only to CEID students by the Department for:

use of the Computing Center’s personal computers on Windows and Linux operating systems;
departmental email, Webmail and departmental email lists (which are only available to CEID students and are different from the University’s @upnet counterparts),
secure remote terminal service (Secure SHell – SSH) and file transfer service (Secure File Transfer Protocol – SFTP) in the central system diogenis.ceid.upatras.gr, access service to the Department’s wireless network (ceid Wi-Fi)
possibility of changing/retrieving the access code (password) in the Department’s services
use of global web services (for publishing personal pages on the Department’s website)
use of printing service of the Computer Center
technical support (ceid helpdesk)

Issue of Student ID*

Clarification: The academic ID certifies your student status and is also used as a Reduced Ticket Card (PASO), for those who are entitled to it.

Free Boarding and Housing

Housing in Student Residences or in rented beds

Online submission of application and required supporting documents is required.

Clarification: First-year students who do not yet have an active account for the digital services of the University of Patras will carry out identification via mobile phone in order to submit an application.

Δήλωση μαθημάτων εξαμήνου*

Πραγματοποιείται από εσάς – δεν γίνεται αυτόματα – στην αρχή κάθε εξαμήνου σπουδών (εντός και εκτός βασικής διάρκειας φοίτησης), είναι υποχρεωτική και αποτελεί προϋπόθεση για συμμετοχή σε εξετάσεις.

Εκτός των πρωτοετών φοιτητών, είναι δυνατή μόνον εφόσον έχει προηγηθεί επανεγγραφή στο εξάμηνο.

Διάστημα: προς το παρόν μη διαθέσιμο (ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ : ανακοινώνεται στον ιστότοπο του Τμήματος). Με βάση τα προηγούμενα έτη πραγματοποιείται Νοέμβριο-Δεκέμβριο. 

Re-registration in a semester* (not for first-time students)

It is mandatory at the beginning of each semester of study.

Declaration and receipt of documents

Space: currently unavailable. Based on previous years, it takes place October-December.

Clarification: The selection and free supply of textbooks (from certain bookstores) is usually done after the registrations are completed, i.e. after the start of the courses (around mid-October). However, in the meantime you can view the recommended textbooks for the A semester courses directly via the link above in the Eudoxos system.

Εγγραφή στην πλατφόρμα eclass

The eclass platform is a complete Electronic Course Management System. It is used during the semester for all courses that use this platform to post information, material and lectures, lab statements and exams. The eclass platform is not necessarily used by all courses. Your registration is, in principle, optional unless clearly required by the teachers. Registration is recommended.

Period: as long as each course is available on the platform or in a period announced by the lecturers on the Department’s website

Important Clarification: Registering in eclass does not replace the mandatory process of declaring courses in the Electronic Secretariat (progress).

Participation in on-line lectures

  1. Using Skype for Business (S4B) software

  2. Using Microsoft Teams (MS Teams) software

 

The University is in the process of utilizing additional platforms, so there will be additional instructions on upnet.gr.

Register on the exams.eclass platform*

The exams.eclass platform supports remote exams at the University of Patras. The platform is accessed using a simple web browser without requiring specialized technical knowledge.

Interval: at intervals announced by the lecturers on the Department’s website before the start or during examination periods

Additional information: Manuals, Instructions for participating in remote lectures and exams (using S4B, MS Teams)

Clarification: Registration at exams.eclass is mandatory but does not replace the also mandatory course registration process in the Electronic Secretariat (progress). To participate in a course exam, it is required that the course has been included in the course declaration of the semester (progress) and that a registration has been made on exams.eclass for this course.
